Apparently I'm An Impatient Gourmet

You'd have to wonder if he is friend or foe when he feeds you such sinfully delish cupcakes from... well, D'lish. I suppose excess baggage loves company, and spreading the fats is somewhat easier when you can lay your hands on 'em at half price.

But yeah, these were really, really yummy. The Banana Peanut Butter works for me, since most anything peanut butter works for me. Double choc, in the meanwhile, is double the pleasure, especially if you zap it in the microwave (per Josh's instructions) for 30-seconds-no-more, so that the choc topping becomes all molten. This definitely ranks with the best.

And darling Ms Read, true to her cater-to-the-larger-sizes nature, must have pretty big cups cos these cupcakes were huge! I had one for tea and that kept me full till way past dinner time (or maybe it was cos I washed down all that chocolate with about three glasses of milk). In the end, I couldn't even eat the second one as a late-night snack the way I intended, keeping it in the fridge to be had for breakfast.

Thus, on doth the waistline expandeth.

In any case, no diet plan will be workable till after CNY (like, assuming there will be a diet plan), so why not eat?

Besides, I'm ready this time round, with erm... less-tight-fitting clothes for the new year.

Pavement Cracks

It's wierd.

I was expecting the work pressure to take a sharp rise this week, and it definitely did. Thing is, I kinda welcome it as a chance to push my productivity up. And so it was I spent the day being busy, busy, busy - barely could keep myself on top of things what with the sudden craziness going on, but soldier on, I did.

So why was it when I knocked off and sat down for dinner, I found myself without an ounce of appetite? In case you don't know, not having an appetite is a sure sign of something wrong with me.

Yeah, I'm a little stressed. But stressed out? I didn't think I've reached that point yet, surely.

Maybe I'm just tired.

Maybe with the rut that was my previous job I was in, I had forgotten what it was like to actually care about getting the job done well.

Oh well, breath. And wipe that furrow off my brow. It's nothing I can't handle.

But for once, in a long, long time, I find myself thinking just how nice it would be to have someone to hold tonight.

Dive Right In

She's back and a new album's on its way as well. Looking forward to hearing it.

Meanwhile, here's the new single (click on the pic). The vid reminds me of the eighties movie, Cocoon (seems that heartwarming sci-fi/alien films were in vogue then... remember Batteries Not Included?)
