Of all things...

Oddly enough, I was quite happy to pay ridiculously overpriced tolls. Nostalgic, even. Almost as though I missed it. Guess I'm just happy to be home after one month away... Even if it was just for two days :-)

The Cape Of Flowers

It was such a sweet sight to see.

A couple in their twilight years strolled down the twilit beach. Her hand in his, there was no question it belonged there. They stopped, perhaps to watch the youngsters at their play, standing so close their sillhouettes seemed as one against the setting sun.

Around them, boys turned cartwheels into the breaking waves and buried each other in the sand. The old man stooped, and began shovelling sand over his wife's feet. They may be have aged, but they have not forgotten how to play.

They may have aged, but they have not forgotten how to love.

To be able to walk in the open, wearing their affection for all to see. To be able to grow old together, and still find joy in each other. Such simple things, yet so, so much to ask for.

But still, it was such a sweet sight to see.

Makes Me Wanna Scratch

I don't like to make sweeping, generalised statements but...

Penangites Cannot Park!

There, I said it. I mean, I've been in KL for so many years and have seen so many idiotic drivers of all sorts. But four sightings in three consecutive days is a deplorable record, by any standard.

I regretted not taking pics of the first three I spotted (but I was too busy trying to find a decent spot to park to stop and do so). So here's the unlucky fourth, license plate and all...

Dust Gets In My Eyes

Anticipation! Excitement! The Long Awaited Special Show!

But then again, I'm sure I already have too high an expectation for this. After all, it's a real challenge to translate Gaiman's words into film. And having seen the trailer, it's kinda off-putting that the Star's first meeting with Tristan wasn't much like the graphic novel.

Oh well, I'd still go anyway. It is a Gaiman project, after all. And also, I so love the Pfabulous Miss Pfeiffer!

Seven

Oh look. I've been tagged. How fun!

NOT.

Ah well, guess I'll have to get down to it anyway. Nothing better to blog about anyway...

Hmmm... let's see...

Nah...

Just like that. Another post under my belt :P

Can't Shake The Thought Of You

Sat by the shore, and thought of you. Just like you asked me to.

Guess I've still got sand in my shoes.

屋頂上的小鳥 是不是你
天上飛的白雲 一定是你
因為我知道你喜歡你嚮往自由
因為我知道你不捨 離開我

王菲 : 飛

Every journey begins with a single step. But it's that first step, that's always the hardest, isn't it?

It's hard, but that's okay.

I'll miss you, but that's okay too.

Breathe the air in a different latitude. Hear the echoes from another culture. And taste the locals' foreign cuisine. I'll see it all through your eyes.

So yeah, don't worry, just look ahead and fly. Find your dreams. Find yourself. And remember - at the end of the journey, that's where you'll find home.

***************************************************************************

P/s: Here's the translation, one year late :P

The bird on the roof, could it be you?
The cloud in the sky, it must be you
For I know you want to move on and be free
For I know you cannot bear to leave me
